Staff Engineer (Dallas, TX)
Staff Engineer will be responsible for engineering design / analysis of steel, concrete & wood structures. This position requires the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, follow up with team members to finalize projects on a timely manner.
Essential Skills and Experience :
- EIT certification required
- Bachelors degree in Civil / Structural / Architectural Engineering required
- Strong background in Steel, concrete & wood structural design required
- Finite element modeling experience required
- Experience in MathCAD preferred
- Lattice tower analysis / design experience preferred
- Experience in STAAD preferred
- Familiar with AutoCAD preferred
- Be able to travel to sites to obtain field data.
- Be able to make clear and detailed field sketches and notes.
- Strong written & oral communication skills are required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engineering design, analysis and review of new or existing structures.
- Perform structural calculations as needed for design and analysis of structures.
- Making field visits to obtain necessary data.
- Guide design drafters on engineering drawings.
- Produce structural details in CAD.
- Quality control review of drawings.
- Other engineering tasks as assigned.
